King West literally puts you in within steps of the greatest teams at Toronto’s best sports and entertainment venues. No matter what time of the year, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) will take you to the top of your game.
During hockey season, you’ll find the Toronto Marlies and Toronto Maple Leafs practising at the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence just west of downtown Toronto, in Etobicoke. When playing, the Marlies call Ricoh Coliseum their home, while the Maple Leafs pack the Air Canada Centre (ACC) with fans for every home game.
Now that the NHL’s regular season is over you’ll no longer find the Toronto Maple Leafs at the ACC. The NBA’s, Toronto Raptors, also played their last game at the ACC in spring season. But there’s still a lot going on with MLSE’s other teams, and in what’s known as Maple Leaf Square.
Playing at BMO Field, Toronto FC (TFC) matches are full of exuberant supporters wearing TFC red, waving flags, and of course, drinking.
Aside from MLSE’s teams, MLSE’s Maple Leaf Square is home to numerous restaurants and shops. At 15 York Street, you’ll find not only the ACC, but Real Sports Bar and Grill – voted the best sports bar in North America by ESPN Mobile, Real Sports Apparel – where you can buy clothing and accessories from all of your favourite teams, Hôtel Le Germain – an exceptionally elegant luxury hotel, e11even – an upscale restaurant focusing on North American cuisine, and many more.
The regular season may be over for a couple of teams, but Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment has got enough in stock to keep you entertained all summer and all year.
