As a King Blue resident you’ll be sharing an address with the best in Toronto for style, taste and culture.  And one of the most exciting additions to this activity will be the new home of  Theatre Museum of Canada.

You’ll not only be within walking distance of several of the Entertainment District’s most prominent performing arts centres, in one of the largest theatre cities in the world, but you’ll also enjoy a community that’s home to Canada’s only museum devoted to performing arts history.

When King Blue is complete, the museum will occupy roughly 9,000 sq. ft. of space in the lobby and second floor of the Mercer Street podium of the development attracting theatre lovers and cultural enthusiasts with dynamic exhibits, presentations and educational programming. “It’s fabulous,” says Marlene Smith, a theatre producer and chair of the Theatre Museum’s board.“It’s in a very active part of town and there’s a generation that really likes that. You’re right in the centre of everything. If that’s the life you’re leading, it’s the spot to be.”

The museum currently has no permanent home, showing exhibits in temporary locations or online, and this special component will no doubt distinguish King Blue from the other condo communities in Toronto. “King Blue fits like a glove into King Street West,” says Steve Gupta, President and CEO of Easton’s Group and the developer of King Blue Condos. “Its retail component, the Theatre Museum of Canada, and the overall feel will be quite eclectic, a perfect reflection of the unmistakable ‘style’ that is King Street West.”

Theatre Museum Canada’s Executive Director, Michael Wallace hopes the residents and visitors of King Blue will see the museum as a “front door to theatre in Toronto,” and he sees a permanent home for the museum as “an extraordinary opportunity to bring in year-round programming that ties into school curricula, and builds off all the fantastic theatre that’s happening in the city of Toronto.”

In the heart of Toronto’s trendiest and most culturally-innovative neighbourhoods, King Blue is capturing the community with an exciting addition that will enrich the King West lifestyle.
