CHICKEN and WAFFLES BAND at THE BALLROOM in ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT

The Ballroom is downtown Toronto’s newest interactive entertainment centre with sports and bowl and rock ‘n roll. Here you can still act like a kingpin from the gutter with perfect game, but your friends won’t laugh at you when you strike out!

Toronto’s only downtown bowling alley is filling the need for something original in this city and is open for business in King West at the corner of Richmond and John. There are ten bowling lanes, ping pong tables, a sports-bar and a restaurant. server information . You can even book two private lanes complete with your own full service bar.

From live Karaoke to video DJ’s, The Ballroom likes to keep things lively and this entertainment district hotspot is like a big adult (and kids) playground. The fully licensed outdoor patio (which is also open and heated in the winter) is a great place to chill after work to watch a game, meet up with neighbourhood pals or listen to live music on the upper level.

Chicken and Waffles (band below) is one of The Ballroom’s most popular live house bands, playing a mix of soul, funk, rhythm and blues. There are featured bands weekly.

They’ve also earned the name, the official Molson Canadian Hockey House, and with the playoffs underway, this might just be a good time to park yourself at the bar – even with your laptop. The Ballroom is a terrific place to view and enjoy sports with sixty LED television screens, a games room and a novel bowling alley & live music. Two expansive floors accommodate up to 900 guests. The MENU offerings include lunch, dinner, group and kid’s choices from a top-notch chef Aarik Persaud, formerly of The Bowery and Luma.

In addition to table tennis, billiards and bubble hockey, an X-box gaming station is open for use during all hours of operation and they also show select UFC pay-per-view events in a special events area called, The Locker Room. This is the place to cheer for your favourite fighter and feel the excitement of the Octagon with other diehard UFC fans for a $10 cover charge, which applies to all pay-per-view events including boxing.
