The Second City

51 Mercer Street

Comedy Theatre

Located in the heart of Toronto's Entertainment District, The Second City has created some of Canada’s funniest men and women. Alumni include John Candy, Catherine O’Hara, Mike Myers, Dan Aykroyd, Gilda Radner, Martin Short and Colin Mochrie, and spawned the classic comedy series, SCTV. Called, “a comedy empire” by the New York Times, The Second City is just steps from King Blue Condominiums, where you can experience their hilarious and intimate cabaret theatre. And there’s plenty to tickle your funny bone with three new upcoming shows: ms-kb-the-second-city-toronto-comedy-theatre-king-blue-condos-king-street-west From March 4 is The Second City’s newest main stage comedy revue, The Meme-ing of Life. On trend with our latest obsessions—as with The Second City’s highly successful Facebook of Revelations—this outrageous comedy explores the wins and epic fails of living on and off the digital highway. Let’s face it- we have all been spending too much time gazing at our screens. The Second City’s newest show invites us to take a few moments to log off, laugh out loud and smell the kittens. The Meme-ing of Life is created and performed by Craig Brown, Jan Caruana, Jason DeRosse, Nigel Downer, Stacey McGunnigle and Allison Price. Tickets are priced at $24 and $29. kb-ms-the-second-city-toronto-comedy-theatre-the-memeing-of-life Looking for some levity (and sanity) with your kids during March break?
